I am Jayne Read, a young freelance writer, photographer, blogger and model. I am currently working freelance as an Photo Editor, Copywriter and Web Assistant.
I write a regular blog about fashion and beauty things that I discover as well as sometimes writing about bits and pieces that are going on in my life. I enjoy discovering small, independant brands in fashion and beauty and love anything with a quirky, kitsch or vintage feel to it. I am also interested in Japanese Popular Culture, Burlesque and Pin-ups, Baking and Movies.
I have a 2:1 degree from University of Leeds in BA (Hons) Cinema, Photography and Television, in which I specialised in photography, with a focus on Burlesque and pin-up photography in my final dissertation, The History of Glamour.
I do modelling and photography as a hobby mainly, but occassional work on select commissions. My photography can be seen on Flickr, Facebook and Myspace under the name Jayne R Photography.
I am currently gaining work experience in order to help me decide the direction I want to take with my career. I am interested in journalism, fashion PR and marketing.
